Lantern Festival｜朝夕福运来，元宵迎春开

万户千家今夜好，张灯结彩闹元宵。

今天是农历正月十五，我们迎来甲辰龙年元宵节。

The 15th day of the first month in China’s lunisolar calendar is called "Zheng Yue Shi Wu," or the Lantern Festival.

元宵节又称“上元节”，是农历新年中第一个月圆之夜。

Lantern Festial is also called Shangyuan Festival. It is the first important festival after the Spring Festival and the first full moon in the new year.

元宵节，大街小巷张灯结彩。人们看花灯、猜灯谜，是世代相沿的习俗。

Except for another warm family reunion, people used to hang lanterns in front of the gate or on the balcony.

In some specially-held local lantern fair, there are riddles written on paper hanging under the lanterns. People can entertain themselves by guessing the answer of the riddles.

元宵佳节，北方人喜食“元宵”，而南方人更偏爱“汤圆”。

红豆沙、黑芝麻等馅料蘸上水，在盛着糯米面的笸筐内滚，当其自然沾满糯米粉并滚成一个个圆球状时，就成了雪白的元宵。汤圆则由糯米粉制成的面团包裹住馅料，口感黏糯，口味甜咸兼可。

无论吃汤圆还是元宵，表达的都是人们享受阖家团圆的美意。

A typical food on Lantern Festival for northerners in China is Yuan Xiao, a ball-shaped dessert made with glutinous rice. Southerners eat Tang Yuan, a similar meal made by different techniques.

元宵节是春节的收尾，过了正月十五，“年”就真正过完了。

春节的结束，也意味着春天的开始。农田上，春耕备耕的序曲已经奏响，各行各业的人们振奋龙马精神，纷纷投入本职工作。站在新的起点，是时候出发了。
